In recent months, What Now has been following the trail of paperwork to track the moves Phoenix, Arizona’s Salad and Go as the chain prepares its big Las Vegas debut.
A healthy fast food restaurant with the mission to “make fresh, nutritious food convenient and affordable, not just for the few, but for everyone,” Salad and Go works on a streamlined drive-thru model. The focus is on providing healthy food fast, and, as paperwork submitted in the last week to Clark County puts it, “100% of their customer business is through a duel [sic] lane drive thru, and, on occasions, an express lane for online order pick-ups.” The locations do not provide indoor (or, in most cases, outdoor) seating and tend to be as small as 1,000 square feet or even less.
Friday’s batch of submitted plans brings the total number of locations mentioned thus far in permitting paperwork to five, adding to the list a proposed “standard footprint Salad and Go” at 5742 S Decatur Blvd.
The five locations described in the paperwork so far include:
Near S University Center Dr & E Flamingo Rd: An 837 square-foot location is planned on a parcel just north of the University District, on the northern side of Flamingo Road between University Center Dr and Maryland Pkwy.
3399 S Durango Dr: A 783 square-foot location is planned on a previously undeveloped pad in an existing shopping center at the intersection of W Desert Inn Rd and S Durango Dr.
El Capitan Way & N Durango Dr: A 1,234 square-foot Salad and Go is planned on what was previously an empty lot in a commercial center called Carol’s Court.
5235 S Fort Apache Rd: Another Salad and Go drive-thru location is planned at the intersection of S Fort Apache Rd and W Hacienda Ave, in an area dense with other fast food and fast casual spots, like Burger King, Del Taco, and Panera Bread.
5742 S Decatur Blvd: The most recent submitted plans describe a “standard footprint” location situated on S Decatur just south of W Russell Rd, near Distill – A Local Bar.
