Found in the Park View Plaza between Twain Ave. and Flamingo Rd., more has been revealed about the kind of work it will need before reopening.

According to permits filed with the city, Amore will be replacing an existing type 2 hod with a type 1 hood. It will also be replacing an exhaust fan along with additional mechanical work.

Looking to serve Chicago-style pizza in Las Vegas, Amore wants to provide Chicago transplants with a taste of home, introducing a unique dining experience to major cities throughout the United States. Amore’s true Chicago-style pizza features thick and buttery crust, often as much as three inches thick around the edges, topped generously with melted cheese and chunky-style tomato or marinara sauce.

Chicago pizza is one of the few types that may need to be tackled with a fork.

Amore Taste of Chicago offers authentic Italian cuisine to go alongside its pizza dishes.

According to Yelp, Amore Taste of Chicago is scheduled to reopen this spring.

“To our valued customers, due to unforeseen circumstances we are still temporarily closed for expansion and remodeling of our Durango location…. We cannot wait to welcome you all back as soon as we can,” the restaurant posted.

Amore Taste of Chicago opened a location in Henderson last year.

Owner Joseph Papa could not be reached for comment prior to publication.
