A building permit was issued by Clark County for a buildout to create a BlvdHome location, with the inclusion of work for the brand’s signature BlvdHome Cafe, at 4500 Rancho Drive. (The plans also call for a drive thru, although it’s not clear whether this is cafe-related.)

BlvdHome is a family business founded by in 1974 by Tony Wittwer, son of Lester Wittwer, who got the family into business when he opened a trucking company in 1928, delivering homegrown fruits and vegetables.

“Lester’s children worked alongside him learning what it takes to be successful as they tended to the needs of tired and weary travelers in the motel business which started in the 1940’s,” reads the About Page on the brand’s website.

When Tony opened the store, it began with two full-time employees and an 8,000 square-foot showroom. It has since grown to include four stores and a large distribution center.

Part of the BlvdHome experience involves a stop at the BlvdHome Cafe, where patrons can enjoy sandwiches, coffee, and other lunch and snack choices to wind down or recharge mid-shop.

What Now reached out to a representative of BlvdHome this week. The representative was not immediately available for comment.
