Chocolate City Cigar Lounge Planned for Commerce St

The cigar lounge and bar submitted plans to the Las Vegas Planning Commission to open not far south of the Arts District

On the southeast corner of the intersection between S Commerce St and W Utah Ave, a new cigar lounge and bar is looking to open for business. Chocolate City Cigar Lounge has submitted plans which will go before the Las Vegas Planning Commission next for a special use permit to serve alcohol on the premises.

What Now Las Vegas reached out to owner Johnny Yancy on Thursday morning to confirm the news. Yancy was not immediately available for comment. Further details on the cigar lounge’s branding, menu, and operating hours are unavailable for the moment.

The location at 1511 S Commerce St is an area predominantly occupied by retail. Several entertainment spots are also nearby, including Horse Trailer Hideout, a bar, comedy club Wiseguys Comedy Las Vegas, and theater production Black Girl Magic.

No information is available on an opening timeline for Chocolate City Cigar Lounge. The building at 1511 S Commerce is currently under construction. Stay tuned for more information as details emerge.
