The hotel and casino recently filed paperwork for electrical and plumbing work in an interior renovation making room for the gelato shop. The estimated budget for the renovation is $78,450.

Cocolini was made popular by its other two locations, one at the Venetian and the other at Miracle Mile Shops. It serves high quality gelato in a variety of forms: gelato sandwiches, gelato shakes, frappes, and sundaes. Its 32 gelato flavors include Butter Pecan, Hazelnut, Cappuccino, Tiramisu, and Old Fashioned Lemon Ice.

The menu also features a variety of smoothies and sugar free options, at a price point that—higher than most ice cream competitors—matches the Las Vegas luxury of its locations.

At the Mirage, the restaurant joins in a community of high quality dining locations that include Tom Colicchio’s Heritage Steak, a restaurant serving carefully sourced seafood and beef prepared over an open flame; Otoro Robata Grill & Sushi, which serves a variety of sushi and other Japanese small plates; and Osteria Costa, which serves a number of Italian cuisine offerings including pizza, pasta, and beyond.

What Now Las Vegas was unable to reach a representative of Cocolini for comment.
