News broke last October that the Rainbow Blvd outpost of Distill, a chain of local-bar taverns co-owned by local entrepreneur Mike Nigro of Nigro Construction, would get a grand reopening following a major renovation. The chain is also planning a location for Henderson at 2293 Via Inspirada, on the northwest corner of the Via Inspirada-Via Da Vinci intersection.

Documents filed recently with the Henderson Planning Commission request a time extension of one year to construct the new tavern.

“The project is currently working its way through the Henderson Building Department and could be ready for permitting soon,” reads a justification letter Ronald Miller, Director of Design at Nigro Construction. “Once approved and permitted, the project will start construction and be completed within several months.”

What Now Las Vegas reached out to Mike Nigro on Wednesday but was unable to reach him for comment on the new location.

Nigro described the brand to the Las Vegas Sun in 2019 interview, saying, “A lot of bars don’t focus on food. We do. Ninety percent of our menu is made from scratch and every spring and fall, we take 10 items off and add 10 more. We found that the people who like to go to our places tend to go more than once a week, and they like to try new things and don’t want the same things over and over.”

It is unknown at this time when construction will begin on the Henderson tavern.
