East Coast Seafood Restaurant Cap’t Loui to Open First Vegas Location

The intersection of W Sahara Ave and S Fort Apache Rd will soon be home to the first Las Vegas location of Cap’t Loui, a seafood restaurant with locations primarily in northeastern states like Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey, and with locations in Georgia and California as well.

The seafood chain’s menus vary by significantly by location. The menu for the location on Broadway in New York City offers a choose-your-own style boil in which guests choose from seafoods like lobster, snow crab legs, crawfish, and clams, add sauces like Cap’t Loui (Louisiana) or Lemon Pepper, and finish off with a side like sausage, corn, or garlic noodles.

The raw bar offers oysters and clams on the half shell, and offerings from the fryer include the Soft Shell Crab Basket, the Fish & Chips Basket, and the Fisherman’s basket (soft shell crab, shrimp, fish, and calamari). Drinks include draft beer, wine, cocktails, and the Oyster Shot (vodka, oyster, and cocktail sauce).

Paperwork recently filed with the city calls for seafood served alongside beer and wine, with no mention of liquor and cocktails.

The location at 9430 W Sahara Ave sits among a number of retail and restaurant locations on the Sahara-Fort Apache intersection’s northwest corner. These include Yukga Korean BBQ, Siena Italian Authentic Trattoria and Deli, and Kinderland Indoor Play & Café.

What Now Las Vegas reached out to franchise owner Sung Su Kim on Monday. Kim was not available for comment.
