The popular Mexican eatery, which opened in the southwest earlier this year, will expand to its second cantina in Henderson.

El Luchador Mexican Kitchen + Cantina offers SoCal-style Mexican cuisine from Chef Aaron Bryan. The menu is packed with contemporary remixes of Mexican classics such as Queso Enchiladas; Asada Classico Burrito (carne asada, chihuahua cheese, avocado, papas fritas, cilantro crema); and a delectable selection of signature tacos including Mahi Mahi Equipo (grilled mahi mahi, roasted salsa, cabbage, chipotle aioli on crisp and soft corn tortillas) and Camaron Chicharron (panfried shrimp, mango de gallo, avocado, cilantro on flour tortillas).

El Luchador will take over the vacancy at 375 N Stephanie Street, which had formerly housed Sweet Tomatoes. The new restaurant will seat approximately 250 inside and 40 outside on its expansive patio. Hooper Hospitality Concepts CEO Andy Hooper told What Now Los Angeles that the new location of El Luchador Mexican Kitchen + Cantina will have a similar vibe to the original in Mountain’s Edge with “fun touches that pay homage to the spirit of the luchador, but it really is all about the food!”

We couldn’t agree more.

El Luchador Mexican Kitchen + Cantina is planning to open later this year. Be sure to bring a friend who’s ready to tag team the menu stacked with delicious plates.
