Henderson will soon be home to a new “neighborhood Italian place” and steakhouse from Chef Rob Moore, one of the main forces behind Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s steakhouse Prime. Moore started as a dishwasher in 1989 in New Jersey and made the move to Las Vegas 2004, where he has been working in the culinary scene ever since.

The new location, 12 miles off the Strip, is looking to serve, as coverage in Eater Las Vegas puts it, “a crowd of in-the-know visitors and neighborhood regulars.” But don’t be fooled: the project is neither obscure nor likely to pass unnoticed. An online article by Travel + Leisure calls it “one of Las Vegas’ biggest restaurant openings of the year.”

An advance peek at the menu, reported by Eater, showed “house-made pastas, seasonal, vegetable drive appetizers, pizzas, and non-steak entrees including roasted branzino, osso bucco, and more.”

The location on St Rose Pkwy, situated northeast of the intersection with Spencer St/Seven Hills Dr, is part of a cluster of dining and lodging destinations. These include Remedy’s Tavern, Hampton Inn & Suites, and Kopper Keg.

What Now Las Vegas reached out to Moore on Friday morning. Moore declined to comment on Rosa Ristorante’s opening. The restaurant is working toward an opening in April.
