UnCommons, the hugely anticipated mixed-used development from Matter Real Estate that you keep hearing about, is slated to finally open this fall, but even as UnCommons approaches an opening, news from the project keeps coming! J. Blanco will serve Mexican classics with fresh seasonal ingredients and high-quality steaks. To this will be added crafted cocktails with fresh juices and a curated list of tequilas and agave spirits. The 3,500 square-foot space is described as “vibrant and airy, accentuated by natural light and lush plants.”

“J. Blanco taps into our Las Vegas roots and our desire to bring Strip-level cuisine and service to the neighborhoods where we grew up,” Ayya Hospitality Group Partner Jai Shaun White said in a press release. “We are excited about the opportunity to be a part of UnCommons and the great culinary talents joining the community.”

Signature dishes and cocktails teased in the press release include an “18-ounce Prime Tomahawk ribeye served with citrus butter, esquites and jalapeño puré de papas” and the “Siempre margarita made with blanco tequila, fresh mango, serrano pepper, lime and agave.”

Ayya Hospitality recently debuted Crust & Roux, a take on all things pie: pizzas, dessert pies, and pot pies. It opened this year in Town Square.

“J. Blanco will bring an exciting Mexican steakhouse experience to the UnCommons community unlike anything found in southwest Las Vegas,” said Matter Real Estate Group Partner Jim Stuart. “The founders of Ayya bring tremendous expertise and creativity in developing a fresh, first-of-its-kind restaurant that will be a tremendous addition to our community.”
