Caramella is coming to Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, serving original takes on Italian favorites, such as pastas and a wide selection of prime steaks and chops with decadent sides.
The restaurant comes from Tao Group Hospitality. The menu is created by Ralph Scamardella, the group’s chief culinary officer.
Caramella’s decor will be inspired by 1970s Italy, with views overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. An adjacent candy shop will sweeten the deal, with a variety of treats.
The restaurant is part of Tao Group Hospitality’s partnership with Caesars Entertainment, which also includes OMNIA Nightclub, Stanton Social Prime and OMNIA Dayclub (expected to open in 2025) at Caesars Palace.
Tao Group Hospitality is part of Mohari Hospitality, an investment firm focused on the luxury lifestyle and hospitality sectors.
This isn’t the first Italian restaurant the group has brought to Las Vegas. They also opened Luchini, an Italian-American restaurant inspired by the flavors of New York, last year at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Tao Group Hospitality is also the team behind LAVO Italian Restaurant in the Palazzo tower at the Venetian Resort.
Caramella is expected to open at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino this winter. It will be located next to the Criss Angel Theater in the space formerly occupied by Koi Restaurant and Lounge.
