What Now Las Vegas reached out to project contact Sonny Duong by email this week. Duong said the restaurant will serve authentic Vietnamese desserts, along with Vietnamese coffee and French bread, which will be baked fresh daily.

“The chain has been established in San Jose, California since 2013,” Duong said. He described the move to Las Vegas as an opportunity to serve the local Vietnamese community and to introduce the cuisine to more people.

The Spring Mountain Rd address is located at Melrose Shopping Center, a retail building located just a few minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, with a total leasable area of 6,940 sq. ft. Melrose is located in Chinatown, near the I-15 freeway and close to the intersection of Decatur Blvd and Spring Mountain Rd, which sees traffic of more than 38,000 cars a day.

The building is also home to King Beauty Supply, with nearby dining locations including Hot N Juicy Crawfish, Bubble Shave Ice, and Crown & Anchor British Pub.

“Las Vegas is like a melting pot in my opinion,” Duong said. “The location on Spring Mountain could also serve travelers and visitors that come to Vegas. We hope to make Vegas a place like back home in Vietnam where people can enjoy our traditional dessert.”
