The new 168-seat Mediterranean wood-fire grill eatery will capture the culinary excitement of discovering a coastal seafood market and the exhilarating energy of an upscale dinner party, all in one beautiful space. Designed by Venice, CA-based boutique agency, Studio Collective, this new addition to the resort will be a lively place to eat, drink, and celebrate.

The centerpiece of the restaurant is the open-concept kitchen featuring a custom-crafted live fire grill and rotisserie by Italy-based Clay Oven, a wood burning oven, and fresh seafood display all capped by a copper range hood and surrounded by an intimate counter for prime viewing of the buzzing line in motion. Drawing on inspiration from Mediterranean staples, the menu will feature salt-baked and grilled seafood, rotisserie-cooked meats, and flame-kissed vegetables, accompanied by an array of Greek-inspired appetizers and a world-class seafood counter and crudo bar. Key dishes from the grill will include “Lavraki”, a Mediterranean Sea Bass made with anchovies and saffron, “Souvlaki Hirino”, pork shoulder with peppers, onions and cherry tomatoes, and “Vodino”, a veal chop with marjoram, pistachio and ouzo.

Located just off the casino floor in the resort’s new promenade, opaque windows will offer glimpses of the space within. Upon arrival, diners will be transported to a seaside retreat as they enter through an inconspicuous door and are immediately captivated by the aromas and crackling of an open-flame grill. A lively bar and lounge area will invite guests to gather for a drink or a small bite before their meal while an expansive mirrored back bar will reflect the magic that is taking place throughout the intimate space.

Inside the main dining room, a textured curved ceiling is reminiscent of the rooftops found in Greece, while multiple, custom chandeliers create the effect of twinkling string lights, allowing the dynamic space to transform throughout the evening. Adding to the ambiance, guests will be welcomed to enjoy elevated plush banquette-seating offering sightlines overlooking the action of the dining room and energy from the open-air kitchen set against a hand-painted mural by Katherine Meredith as the backdrop.

“We have always loved the different cuisines and cultures found throughout the Mediterranean,” share Chefs Bruce and Eric Bromberg, Co-founders of Blue Ribbon Restaurants in a statement. “After spending time immersing ourselves in the culinary scene, we are thrilled to share our love for the region through this new restaurant. This fun, exciting concept is a first for the Blue Ribbon family, and we have found the perfect home for it, along with Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill, at Green Valley Ranch!”

“Ortikia will be a welcomed addition to the culinary scene in Henderson.” said Ken Jannsen, Vice President and General Manager of Green Valley Ranch. “As part of our ongoing transformation, we are thrilled to add fresh Mediterranean cuisine in a stunning setting and high-energy scene from the Blue Ribbon restaurant family.”

Ortikia will be open Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

*Ortikia joins the recently opened Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill and is located at:
Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino, 2300 Paseo Verde Pkwy, Henderson, NV 89052.
