Inspired by the “Vegas Strong” movement following the tragic 2017 Route 91 Music Festival shooting, Pucks Cookies & Treats hopes to uplift the community in a similar way amid the COVID-19 pandemic when the shop opens later this year.
Pucks will be situated in Henderson, at The District at Green Valley Ranch on 2225 Village Walk Dr. Once the sweets shop debuts in late-spring, early summer, it will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
“When the Henderson Event Center was announced and the Henderson Silver Knights were going to be playing games across the street, we knew we had to open our concept at The District,” Co-Owner Jenny Edington told What Now Las Vegas in an email on why the entrepreneur chose the location. “Additionally, The District at Green Valley is a true local hangout spot for families.”
Pucks’ brick-and-mortar is situated adjacent to Shake Shack in the shopping development and could be one of many locations for the young brand. “We are opening up one store at a time, however, we do see a path to expand,” Edington said. “We can see expanding to Summerlin and near T-Mobile arena.”
According to the company website, all cookies and treats are made from scratch. Pucks will offer catering services for large and small events.
The cookies will be three-ounces each with a three-inch diameter and one-inch thickness to match the exact dimensions of a hockey puck, with dough mixed on-site and baked daily. Pucks is set to offer gift packages and drinks, in addition to cookies and other baked treats.
“We pride ourselves in being a true local experience and brand,” Edington said. “We will feature Anderson Dairy ice-cream, which started in Las Vegas 111 years ago. Additionally, we are partnering with Threads of Envy, who will be doing our merchandise.”
