The rebranding of two Wynn Las Vegas lounges is nearly complete. Parasol Up and Parasol Down, the lounges in question, both participated in the resort’s opening back in 2005. Both lounges featured a similar colorful sensibility, inspired, more or less literally, by parasols. A streamlining of the concept began to take place last year, when Parasol Up was remodeled and reopened as the Overlook Lounge.

Shortly thereafter, Parasol Down closed temporarily to begin a transformation into the simplified Parasol Bar. Parasol Bar is expected to open in April, according to recent Casino.org coverage.

Eater Las Vegas reported in August that the makeover of 1,257 sq.-ft. space had already been allotted a budget of $800,000. Once the rebrand is complete, the list of remaining original Wynn dining locations will have been whittled down to SW Steakhouse, Tableau, Wing Lei, and Red 8.

The resort is home to a number of other fine dining options, including the much-anticipated Casa Playa, serving Chef Sarah Thompson’s coastal Mexican cuisine and sushi and sashimi restaurant Mizumi.

What Now Las Vegas was unable to reach a representative of Wynn Las Vegas for immediate comment on Thursday. Stay tuned for more updates on Wynn Las Vegas’s roster of quality dining destinations.
