“Dear Tacos & Beer family, friends, and guests…we have decided to temporarily close the restaurant due to the current decline in business due to COVID-19.” Owners John and Tab are playing the reopening by ear. “We will be back as soon as the business climate improves,” the duo wrote in Monday’s announcement. “Stay tuned.”

As its name suggests, Tacos & Beer serves “two hot trends under one roof: artisanal tacos and craft beer.” The restaurant has a 20-faucet draught beer system featuring an ever-changing line up of the “best beers available.” In addition to its tacos and beer, the restaurant also offers other Mexican food favorites, cocktails, and margaritas.

Tacos & Beer joins a growing list of restaurants in Las Vegas and across the country that have ceased operations temporarily amid the pandemic. Others have pivoted and adapted to the current dining climate while activating forgivable loans from the federal government by way of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) which is designated for small businesses to cover things like payroll and rent.

In early-January, the latest round of PPP was approved by the government and applications are now underway for the relief money.
