News broke last year that Taffer’s Tavern, a chain of taverns developed by hospitality industry veteran and star of Bar Rescue Jon Taffer, was expanding to Las Vegas in a franchise deal with Five Guys Taverns, LLC, which operate’s the chain’s original location in Alpharetta, GA, among others.
News of the tavern chain’s Vegas location has been scarce since, but the search is still on, Five Guys Taverns LLC partner Seth Chandlee told What Now Las Vegas on Friday.
The menu and décor for the new location will be similar to that of other Taffer’s Tavern locations but with expanded size (about 10,000 sq. ft.), and—possibly—with a rentable private VIP space as well. Las Vegas being Jon Taffer’s own backyard, the Vegas location is expected to make a strong impression, opening somewhere on the Las Vegas Strip.
Taffer’s Tavern menus have featured comfort-food plates like Herbed Chicken (incredible roasted herbed chicken breast paired with our rich demi-glace sauce and creamy mashed potatoes) and Pot Roast Stroganoff (flavorful beef roast with buttered noodles, peas, hearty mushroom gravy, and sour cream), plus a selection of flatbreads and handhelds that include a Spicy Chicken Sandwich and a burger customizable with bacon, avocado, onion rings, and pork belly.
Taffer’s also features specialty crafted cocktails like the Taffer’s Tavern Tea (Taffer’s take on a refreshing southern classic highlighted with fresh mint and peach, bursting with a lasting whiskey flavor) and the Resurrections (an intriguing blend of spiced rum and citrus charged with refreshing coconut water to awaken your senses)
No timeline is yet available for a Las Vegas Taffer’s Tavern opening.
