La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway has closed its doors temporarily at Wynn Las Vegas. The restaurant, which launched at the resort back in 2010, will undergo construction work before reopening “in late summer with a remodel that embraces the timeless, European sensibility the awarded restaurant is beloved for,” says a press release from last week.

“La Cave’s founders, renowned restaurateurs Jenna Morton and Michael Morton of Morton Group, are collaborating with award-winning designer Karen Herold, who orchestrated La Cave’s original design,” says the release.

The La Cave menu features entrees “From The Sea” that include Hamachi & Tuna Crudo with pickled cucumber and truffle ponzu, and Diver Sea Scallop with polenta cake, shrimp sauce, and trumpet mushroom. “From the Farm” come entrees like Beef Carpaccio with mushroom, caper, and truffle aioli, while “From the Grill” comes Chilean Sea Bass, cacciatore style, with tomato, Castelvetrano olives, and roasted peppers.

It’s not yet known whether any changes can be expected in the menu after the reopening. The press release describes the relaunch as expected for “late summer,” while the La Cave website is a bit more specific:

“What was good is about to get better,” the website says. “Re-opening August 2024.”
