Middle Child to Open in The Collective Shopping Center

This summer, Middle Child, a new “midday Las Vegas eatery,” will open in The Collective shopping center, located at 3900 Paradise Road (recently submitted licensing paperwork shows the restaurant opening in Suite N).

“Whether you’re coming in for a quick business lunch, a birthday brunch, or the ‘morning debrief’ after a night on the town, there’s something for everyone… and yes, there will be cocktails,” says a post on Middle Child’s Instagram page.

“The Middle Child is the peacekeeper, the in-between, the happy medium of the family,” says another. “Just because they’re often overlooked doesn’t mean they don’t shine in their own right.”

Middle Child is a new project from the owners of Las Vegas steakhouse Herbs and Rye, and while the opening is officially expected sometime in June, it has not been without its drama. Eater Las Vegas reported earlier this month on a complaint filed against Middle Child by a Philadelphia restaurant by the same name, which says it’s already facing difficulties with a planned expansion on account of “consumer confusion” resulting from Middle Child (LV)’s social media activity.

What Now reached out to co-owner Nectaly Mendoza to inquire about plans for the opening and what effects the lawsuit might have. Mendoza was not immediately available for comment.

“We decline to comment further on this matter,” says a statement provided to Eater Las Vegas by Middle Child Las Vegas and included in the Eater coverage. “The truth will prevail, and we are confident that it will be evident to all.”
