Los Angeles-based Randy’s Donuts revealed plans Thursday to open seven locations in the Las Vegas region, with each scheduled to open by the end of 2022. The massive expansion announcement arrives on the heels of the doughnut chain Wednesday meeting with city planners to discuss its plans to build a drive-thru location at 4693 Blue Diamond Road.

The Blue Diamond Road location is confirmed to have the iconic Randy’s Donuts sign — a 19-foot tall circular donut with the company name displayed on the front.

A Randy’s Donuts press release also confirmed that the iconic donut chain purchased an existing drive-thru on 2170 South Rainbow, a former Red Jalapenos restaurant, for one of its incoming Vegas storefronts.

The additional five planned venues are currently in lease negotiation, according to the release. They are still planned to open in 2022. Some locations will be stand-alone like the South Rainbow and Blue Diamond stores, but additional venues will open in “several casinos” across Las Vegas. It is currently unclear how many of the five locations will be stand-alone or inside casinos.

All seven eateries will be company operated, though the company says it is open to franchise inquiries.

“Since I purchased Randy’s Donuts with my family in 2015, my intention has always been to continue the rich tradition of baking the world’s best donuts since 1962 and expanding that tradition beyond the city of Los Angeles,” said Mark Kelegian, owner of Randy’s Donuts in the press release. “Las Vegas has grown to been known for more than its gaming industry, and we thank the city and quickly feel right at home joining its incredible food scene serving our beloved donuts.”

In addition to the Las Vegas expansion, the release confirms plans for Randy’s Donuts to expand to “Texas, New York, Illinois, Arizona, Utah, Missouri and Florida” in the future.
