Immersive Van Gogh, the highly-anticipated art installation, will premiere on the Las Vegas Strip at the new Lighthouse Las Vegas located on Level 3 at The Shops at Crystals (3720 S. Las Vegas Blvd.) adjacent to ARIA Resort & Casino. The exhibit will debut on July 26th and has been extended through Thanksgiving due to popular demand. A new block of tickets will go on sale to the public Saturday, June 19th at 10 a.m. PST.
Since its North American premiere in July 2020, Immersive Van Gogh has sold more than 2.5 million tickets and won tremendous acclaim in Toronto, Chicago, San Francisco, and New York with additional openings scheduled for 16 cities across North America, including Los Angeles, Dallas, and Denver. The Chicago Tribune exclaimed “entire rooms pulse with imagery and emotional resonance,” while The Toronto Sun declared “the mind-blowing imagery, brings Van Gogh’s best work to life – including Sunflowers, Irises, and The Starry Night – for a cathartic and liberating experience.” The San Francisco Chronicle summed it up saying, “It’s one hell of a way to wake up from our long pandemic art nap.”
“Immersive Van Gogh has been hailed as an entirely new way of encountering art and has been enthusiastically embraced by press and patrons in every city in which it currently is being presented,” Producer Corey Ross said in a press release. “Our Las Vegas exhibition will be one of our most ambitious as we are utilizing a space that has never been used before for this type of installation.”
The brilliant team behind Immersive Van Gogh includes Creator Massimiliano Siccardi, Composer Luca Longobardi, Art Director Vittorio Guidotti, and David Korins, the award-winning designer renowned for Broadway hits Hamilton and Dear Evan, who will bring creative technology to create a series of illuminating, interactive elements that offer ways to learn more about the life and work of the legendary Dutch painter.
Immersive Van Gogh‘s stunning, animated visuals, designed by Siccardi, will be accompanied by Longobardi’s original score that “combines experimental electronic music with pure, ethereal and simple-seeming piano.” The exhibit will be made of approximately 100 state-of-the-art projectors that will immerse visitors head-to-toe in Van Gogh’s brushstrokes and colors, including animated details from works such as Self Portrait with Felt Hat (1888), The Bedroom in Arles (1889), Irises (1889) and The Starry Night (1889).
