Documents filed recently with the City of Las Vegas describe plans for an upgrade to the 5,583 sq.-ft. space at 1301 S Main St and the addition of a nearly 4,000 sq.-ft. outdoor viewing area. It will occupy space on the second floor of the upcoming mixed-use building The Colorado, according to recent coverage of the news in Eater Las Vegas.

What Now Las Vegas reached out to owner Harvey Graham in a Tuesday morning phone call. Graham confirmed the news of the bar and venue’s opening but declined to comment further.

Graham is no stranger to the Las Vegas valley, operating Oddfellows, known as “the dance club for people who don’t like dance clubs,” on Las Vegas Blvd. In Austin, he is known for Barbarella Bar and for the original Swan Dive location, which was the Austin Chronicle’s Best New Bar of 2013.

The date of Swan Dive’s arrival in Las Vegas remains unknown at this time, but the submitted documents describe long hours of operation: 9 a.m. to 2 a.m., Monday-Sunday.

“With Swan Dive’s expansion into Las Vegas and other markets,” read the documents submitted to the city, “the focus is going to be on building a brand that draws national and international touring acts.”
