Launched by TV personality Brett Raymer and his fellow New Yorker, Chef Anthony Monte, Stallone’s Italian Eatery offers a classic selection of pizzas, Hero sandwiches, pastas, and other favorites at 467 E Silverado Ranch Blvd. Only about a year and half after its successful launch, the brand is expanding with a second location at Santa Fe Station Hotel and Casino.

Brett Raymer rose to fame as the creator of one of Animal Planet’s longest-running shows, “Tanked,” which followed his work as Chief Operating Officer of Acrylic Tank Management, a builder of custom aquariums. His partner, Chef Anthony Monte, hails from Queens and brings to the table more than thirty years of experience in Italian-American cuisine.

The new location will be adjacent to Santa Fe Station’s STN Sports Book, and accordingly it will offer special sports- and sports team-themed Heroes and other dishes. Signed (and unsigned) sports memorabilia decorating the walls will be available for purchase by Stallone’s customers.

“We’re going to concentrate on slices,” Raymer told What Now on Friday. “We have a slice display system here that’s new, with 12 pies on display at all times.”

Otherwise, you can expect more of Stallone’s Italian-American offerings, from the Vodka Pie, to the Godfather sandwich (chicken cutlet, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, cherry peppers, arugula, and balsamic glaze), to homemade lasagna with beef, veal and pork.

“Everything is fresh here,” Raymer said. “We make everything to order, and everything is fresh, never frozen.”

With a second location opening before the original’s second birthday, it would be easy to imagine the expansion continuing apace. But Raymer is reticent on this subject.

“If it happens, it happens,” Raymer said.

Stallone Italian Eatery is opening at Santa Fe Station soon, but in the meantime, check out the location on East Silverado Ranch and follow @stalloneslv on Instagram.
