“We’re one of the leading Korean barbecue chains,” owner Jae Chang told What Now Las Vegas in a Monday morning phone call. “And we’re looking to keep growing.”

The two Gen locations currently operating in Las Vegas and Henderson have thus far focused on serving locals, Chang said. Their all-you-can-eat menus have included Korean BBQ mainstays like Gen Signature Galbi, Spicy Pork Bulgogi, and Premium Pork Belly, served alongside seafoods like Cajun Shrimp, Garlic Calamari, and Spicy Baby Octopus. A variety of veggies, chicken dishes like Hawaiian Chicken, and tasty appetizers that include Korean Fried Chicken, Gyoza, and Japchae (mixed vegetables with glass noodle) all come together to complete the picture.

With the Miracle Mile location, however, Gen is trying to break into the tourist market.

“The menu will be a bit more extensive,” Chang said. “More premium cuts, sushi, sushi rolls. We’re hoping to make the connection between locals and tourist customers.”

Gen Korean BBQ House has locations in several states, including Hawaii, Texas, and Arizona, and is looking to open restaurants in New York and Florida soon—although specifics on these plans are still under wraps. One or two more Gen locations can be expected in Las Vegas over the next few years as well, Chang said.

No opening date has been announced for the third Las Vegas location, but keep your eyes peeled for delicious Korean barbecue coming to Miracle Mile Shops soon!
