“Court Cafe Inc was in the works before it ever was established,” a representative of the company told What Now in an email conversation this week. “Owners of Taco Mell and Bleu Kitchen joined forces to bring the L.A. Community something different, something vibrant, something for the whole family to enjoy. The Court opened its door [in] July 2019 but the magic was brewing long before then.”

The concept comes from two L.A. restaurateurs: Chef Jermelle of Taco Mell and Chef Grub of Bleu Kitchen. Chef Jermelle first opened Taco Mell in 2011; you can visit it and experience its tasty Mexican cuisine offerings in Leimert Park, Los Angeles. Chef Grub founded Bleu Kitchen in 2013, offering his Famous Surf n Turf Garlic Noodles via a deli opened in partnership with his wife Sunni, then two food trucks, and eventually Bleu Kitchen Garlic Noodle Bar, located right here in Las Vegas.

The Court Café first opened in Los Angeles as a collaboration between these two restaurateurs in 2018, and has since built a cult following, racking up 109,000 followers on its Instagram page.

Now The Court Cafe LV is on its way to Flamingo Marketplace in late 2022.

“We’re serving up our signature butters like Peach Cobbler, Strawberry, Brown Sugar Cinnamon, Fruity Pebble and Crunch Berry paired with our Famous Shrimp and Waffles, Lobster and Waffles and Chicken and Waffles,” the representative told What Now. Fan favorites, they said, include the Bleu Burrito and Mel’s Original Breakfast burrito.

“Business and our supporters are stronger than ever. We decided it was time to bring our atmosphere to Las Vegas, NV.”
