Founded in an East Hollywood parking lot, Dave’s Hot Chicken has grown explosively, becoming a major contender in the fast-casual chicken space with its “Reaper” hot sauce (which you have to sign a waiver to try!). The chain has more than 100 locations nationwide, including three in Las Vegas, and a fourth Las Vegas location appears to be on the way.

Building permit paperwork was submitted recently to Clark County for a Dave’s Hot Chicken location at 6390 S Rainbow Boulevard. The paperwork lists a valuation of $250,000 for the work.

The menu at Dave’s Hot Chicken is a streamlined affair focusing on tenders and sliders served up alongside sides like Fries, Cheese Fries, Mac & Cheese, and Kale Slaw. With seven different spice levels, it’s not all or nothing; if you want your chicken spicy but not waiver spicy, there are spice levels like Mild, Medium, Hot, and Extra Hot.

Situated near the intersection between South Rainbow Boulevard and West Maule Avenue, the location in question is part of a community of restaurants that include Pho Saigon 8, Egg Works, McDonald’s, Jamba, and Panda Express.

What Now reached out on Monday to franchisee Lawrence Kourie to inquire about plans for a new Las Vegas location. Kourie declined to comment at this time.
