“It’s going to be like a food hall but with food trucks,” owner Doron Gerby told What Now on Thursday. “And they’re going to be hooked to up a grease trap with their own electricity. No propane, all natural gas; no generator, all electrical.”

The Arts District Food Park would feature a 7,000-square-foot outdoor area for activities, with seating, TVs, fans, misters, and the like, along with an air-conditioned indoor area that is sure to appeal to guests and local food truck operators alike.

“It’s hard to serve people when it’s 120 degrees outside, and everywhere you show up, you have to have your grease trap. It’s a real struggle for people.”

Here, food trucks would have a permanent, stable home, in a fun environment with indoor and outdoor seating, plus alcoholic beverages. Gerby says the goal is to open in about 12 months.
