The intersection of E Bonneville Ave and S Maryland Pkwy will soon be home to a second Tacos El Pastor, which will be expanding from its original location on Las Vegas Blvd. A permit was issued in November by Clark County for construction work at 608 S Maryland Pkwy Suite 140.
Tacos El Pastor serves Mexican-style tacos, burritos, sopes, and mulitas with a number of protein choices, including Pastor (marinated pork), carne asada, chorizo, carnitas, cabeza, lengua, and more. For those unfamiliar, a sope is a dish with a thick pancake-shape fried masa (corn dough) base, and a mulita is a bit like a quesadilla, except with two separate tortillas—it has been described as a Mexican grilled cheese.
Sides include fries come with cheese and asada, lengua, or pastor; nopal (cactus); and chorizo.
The building at 608 S Maryland Pkway is located on the western side of the Bonneville-Maryland intersection, across the street from shopping mall Charland Square. Its neighbors include seafood restaurant Mariscos Playa Escondida on the intersections southern corner and Casa Tlaquepaque on the northern corner.
What Now Las Vegas was unable to reach a representative of Tacos El Pastor this week. No opening date has been announced for the new location.
