Umiya Sushi to Undergo Repairs after Small Fire

The repairs at Umiya will not cause any disruption in service.

A building permit is pending for Umiya Sushi to make repairs after a small fire the restaurant suffered recently.

What Now Las Vegas reached out on Tuesday to owner Mia Jung, who said that the restaurant had procured storage space near its location on W Flamingo Road, which it is using while repairs are in progress. Jung said the restaurant was waiting on approval from its insurance company to begin work, but that there would be no interruptions to service.

Umiya serves sushi and other Japanese fare, along with a wide selection of beverages, including sake, soju, cocktails, and beer and wine. Open till 11:30 pm, with its last seating at 10:30, it’s also a great stop later in the evening.

Umiya sushi is located at 4465 West Flamingo Road, near Oodle Noodle, Thai Spice, Pasta Mia West, and Mr. Bill’s Pipe and Tobacco Company.
