The new restaurants are projects from Kanji LLC, headed up by Jihyuck Hwang, a restaurateur behind Las Vegas dining destinations like Jjanga Steak and Sushi (previously known as Kanji Steak and Sushi), located nearby, and the upcoming Sushi Time, a collaborative effort between longtime Las Vegas sushi chefs, including the Jjanga team.

Details about the new restaurants are scarce, but the projects represent a branching out for the company, which is known largely for restaurants specializing in sushi and other Japanese cuisine. What Now Las Vegas reached out this week to Ellen Chong, a contact at the company. Chong was unavailable for comment.

Located across Fort Apache Rd from Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center, the plaza at 6415 S Fort Apache Rd is home to a number of business, including Top Shelf Wine & Spirits, D’s Smokes & Gifts, and Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics. Other restaurants located at the plaza include Pizza Hut, Bruno’s Taco Bar, and Sip & Savor Kitchen.

Kanji’s new Korean BBQ restaurant will occupy suite 160, the new oyster bar suite 125. No opening dates have been announced for either restaurant.
