With locations currently open in New York City and Mexico City (the original location in Miami is currently undergoing repairs due to storm-related damage), Kyu Restaurants is now at work on its first Las Vegas location.
Founded in 2016, the restaurant offers a menu of Asian-inspired wood-fired barbecue. The dinner menu currently on offer in the restaurant’s New York location features “Keep It Light” offerings like Tuna Crispy Rice, Shimp Gyoza, and Ssamjang Grilled Octopus with bamboo shoots and watercress. Smoked and Wood-Fired Dishes include Stone Pot Thai Fried Rice, Mongolian Pork Belly with green garlic and bok choy, Duck Breast “Burnt Ends,” and Korean Fried Chicken.
The menu also features brunch offerings like the Duck Scramble with toasted rice and creamy gochujang, the Ssamjang Chicken Sandwich with roasted garlic aioli and Korean chow-chow, Short Rib Hash with sweet potato and charred peppers, and Japanese Skillet Pancakes with matcha cream and grilled maple syrup.
No opening date has yet been announced for the Las Vegas location, which is “coming soon” according to the Kyu website. The brand’s original location in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood is expected to reopen in Winter 2023.
