After opening a location at Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa and announcing plans for Henderson, Las Vegas’s favorite Thai restaurant may be looking to further expand its footprint here in the valley. Licensing paperwork submitted recently to Clark County by LotusChutima, LLC appears to show plans for a new Lotus of Siam restaurant** at 121 E Sunset Rd.

Lotus’s menu includes Featured Dishes like Khao Soi (Crispy duck served on a bed of egg noodles in a curry base sauce, garnished with sliced red onions, lime and pickled vegetables); Garlic Prawns deep fried with shells (“almost like potato chips”), sautéed with a special garlic sauce, and topped with ground black pepper; and Salmon Love (Grilled salmon served under chopped red onions, cilantro, bell peppers in our homemade tangy sauce).

The menu has also featured BBQ dishes including Pla Dook Yang (Charbroiled whole catfish, served with tangy, spicy sauce & tamarind sauce), along with specials like Nua Nam Tok (Sliced charbroiled beef mixed with green onions, red onions, cilantro, dried & fresh chilies, lime juice & rice powder) and Hoh Mok Kai (with curry paste-chicken, egg. sliced cabbage cooked in a bowl).

The location in question is situated in the WCOBM building, just east of the Las Vegas Golf Center, a golf course on the southeastern corner of the intersection between South Las Vegas Boulevard and Sunset Road. Traveling just north on Las Vegas Boulevard, one quickly passes West Russell Road and reaches the Las Vegas Strip.

**CORRECTION: A representative of Lotus of Siam has informed What Now that the licensing paperwork submitted for 121 E Sunset Rd. is for an “office space/commissary,” not a new restaurant. Lotus of Siam has declined to share further details on the Sunset Road project.
