Built from scratch on a site previously occupied by a bike shop, Sunrise Market will be a full-fledged Mediterranean grocery-plus-restaurant, occupying a space of about 10,000 square feet.

“The produce will be great,” co-owner Gus Khalaf told What Now Las Vegas in a phone call on Thursday, specifying that the produce section will be eighty feet in length: a large selection of fresh ingredients.

Khalaf is undertaking the project in partnership with co-owner Sam Faranesh.

The market will also feature a deli and butcher shop with fresh cheeses, meats, and the like, along with a fresh bakery, which will bake bread daily alongside Middle Eastern treats like spinach pies and cheese pies.

A restaurant in one corner of the market will serve a limited menu of Mediterranean favorites: falafel, shawarma, kebabs, all with bread baked fresh in the bakery.

The market will be located at 2630 Windmill Pkwy, across the street from Tengoku Sushi and Taco Bell, near Discount Tire and O’Reilly Auto Parts.
