Vegas-born coffee roaster Mothership Coffee is on track to open two new locations in the coming year (or so). The first is set to open soon in the Shops at Summerlin, at 1980 Festival Plaza Drive. The second, whose opening date is still unknown, will open at The Bend, the mixed-use development that “will be the largest dining, entertainment, and shopping destination in the Southwest area of the valley.”

“We’ll probably begin building the interior of the space in a few months,” owner-operator Joshua Walter told What Now on Monday.

Mothership Coffee at The Bend is shaping up to be the brand’s largest yet. The décor is still under development, but Walter envisions it as a welcoming hangout space.

“We’re really geared toward the community in the area,” Walter said. “It’ll be our biggest cafe in terms of interior space. We want to make it more of a place to hang out and not feel rushed.”

Mothership’s coffee is sustainably sourced and roasted locally. The menu features familiar espresso drinks, batch brews, and cold brews, plus specialty lattes like the Bourbon Vanilla Latte and the Lavender Latte. The brand’s coffee is served up alongside its scratch-baked pastries.

“Our bakery program is evolving,” Walter added. The company recently moved its roastery to a new location, resulting in an expansion of its bakery facilities as well. “We’ll probably be adding some more sandwiches and the like. We’re going to be able to do a lot more things.”
