Japanese restaurant franchise Teriyaki Madness has been growing fast in recent years, surpassing 130 locations nationally. There are currently a dozen Teriyaki Madness locations within Las Vegas city limits; it’s a familiar brand for the area. And now the valley is getting its first new franchisee in years: Catherine Loyola, a Las Vegas local and longtime dental office manager, who has signed an agreement to open three locations.

“I was managing a lot of dental offices, and then helping other dentists open their practices from the ground up, finding the locations, getting the permits, helping design the office, and also training the staff,” Loyola told What Now on Wednesday.

After twenty years of work, Loyola was looking to leverage her experience into a new investment.

“Opening a franchise restaurant felt like something I could do. I first came across Teriyaki Madness as a consumer. For a while I was eating there almost every day. I liked the idea of eating fresh food. Rice, veggies, chicken. Those are better alternatives than fast food.”

A Teriyaki Madness meal opens with appetizers like Chicken Potstickers, Edamame, and Crab Rangoon, before moving onto the main event, a selection of tasty bowls served with white rice, brown rice, fried rice, or noodles plus steamed veggies. Bowl varieties include Steak Teriyaki, Chicken Teriyaki, and Salmon Teriyaki.

Loyola’s first TMAD location will open at 1647 W Warm Springs Rd on March 29. Her following two locations are expected to open in Henderson as well.
