Founded in Winter Park, Florida in 2016, Foxtail Coffee has more than fifty locations in that state and in Georgia, and it’s currently preparing to make its Nevada debut with a flagship location in southwest Las Vegas. And there’s a second location in the works for Summerlin, too, according to recent coverage by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The new Summerlin location replaces a longtime Starbucks location that shuttered after 25 years last June, says an update published a few months ago by Smith Team Real Estate.

“The company chose Vegas, in part, because Foxtail already has a relationship with the franchisee of the shops here,” the update says. “However, Vegas will also serve as a test market of sorts, allowing Foxtail to identify and correct logistics and supply chain issues before potential expansion elsewhere in the western part of the country.”

The franchisee in question is Hardik Shah, who also has locations on the East Coast. What Now reached out to Shah on Wednesday to inquire about the Summerlin location. Shah was not immediately available for comment.

Foxtail’s menu features coffee drinks ranging from brewed coffee and cold brews to espresso drinks like the classic Caffe Latte, along with a selection of food offerings that have included bagel and croissant breakfast sandwiches, quiches, and more.
