In 1998, No. 1 Boba Tea became Las Vegas’s first bubble tea shop, opening its doors for the first time in Chinatown. Since 2005, the brand has been growing with Amy Zhang Warthan at the helm, with a total of ten locations currently operating in Greater Las Vegas, plus one in Texas. Paperwork recently filed with Clark County shows plans for a “No.#1 Boba Tea” project at 6895 E Lake Mead Blvd, with work consisting of a new grease trap, flooring, and painting.

Menus vary from location to location (you’ll have to go to the Chinatown shop for all things durian, for example), but each offers a selection of milk teas, flavored teas, and slushes. These include Mango Green Tea, Matcha Milk Tea, and the Honeydew Slush, from the Aliante, Flamingo, Lake Mead, and Nellis menus.

Other locations, including the Centennial Hills boba shop reported on by What Now Las Vegas last year, also offer low sugar “Power Juice” varieties like the Lift Me Up (spinach, kale, banana, pineapple, mango, and ginger); the Green Monster (spinach, green apple, avocado, lime, and oat); and the Super Berry, with strawberry, blueberry, Goji berry, and banana—which, remember, is technically a berry.

The location is part of Sunrise Plaza, a small retail center on the southeastern corner of the E Lake Mead BlvdN Hollywood Blvd Intersection. It is home to eateries like Pizza Hut, Viva El Taco Mexican, and Albertson’s Deli.

What Now Las Vegas was unable to reach Amy Zhang Warthan on Thursday morning for comment. Construction and opening information is currently unavailable.
