“A seductive secret cocktail lounge, Wax Rabbit will be hidden inside Mijo Modern Mexican Restaurant,” reads a description provided by Station Casinos. “Cutting-edge mixology will pair the rich flavors of classic cocktails with Mexico’s finest spirits, highlighting the flavors of expertly curated mezcals and tequilas. An Oaxaca old fashioned and añejo Negroni will be among its selection of libations, alongside extravagant cocktails designed for sharing. DJs will spin all-vinyl record sets, evoking a sense of nostalgia. The intimate, 1,000-square-foot lounge will showcase design by Alessandro Munge and his award-winning firm, Studio Munge.”

Coverage by Eater Las Vegas details how to find the hiding spot: Passing through the entrance to Mijo Modern Mexican Restaurant, one finds a locker room in which guests can store personal tequila bottles. “The tequila locker room will be flanked with mirrors, creating an infinity mirror illusion centered by a rabbit emblem. Here, you can find the entrance to Wax Rabbit, the resort’s speakeasy,” the coverage says. “Each locker will have a small rabbit head above and below it — only one of which functions as the door handle to the bar. You’ll have to know where to look in order to pull the right rabbit and enter.”

A rendering provided by Station Casinos shows red velvet interiors with luxurious lounge seating. As far as what will be served there, we’ll have to wait and see: asked about the cocktail lounge’s cocktail list and price range, representatives of the resort declined to comment.
