“Seven:45 is R&B’s most community-centric micro-lounge,” owner DeAira Williams told What Now Las Vegas in a Wednesday morning phone call. “It’s an intimate, curated experience. Something people can connect with and foster relationships, so it feels more like home.”

The new bar will be a “microlounge where R&B enthusiasts can indulge over craft beer, wines, and small bites,” including charcuterie boards and other choices that pair well with wine.

The name, Williams says, has a double meaning. On one hand, it refers to a time of day, “when the day is meeting the evening. It’s nothing too chaotic like a nightclub, and also not the hustle and bustle of the afternoon.” The name also refers to the 7-inch 45-rpm single: the micro-lounge will have a considerable collection of vinyl records.

The location at 1531 S Commerce St is one of several locally owned businesses, including Sinister Salon and Able Baker Brewing. Williams herself was born and raised in the Valley.

“I’m really connected to the change that is happening Vegas,” Williams said. “Instead of letting people from elsewhere dictate how Vegas is going to look, I think it’s important for locals to be a part of that change.”

Seven:45 is working toward an opening in April 2022.
