After growing to more than 900 locations, mostly in the eastern half of the United States, popular fast-casual chain Zaxby’s is making moves further out west; namely, in the Las Vegas Valley. Permitting paperwork submitted recently to Clark County shows a new Zaxby’s planned for 5290 Blue Diamond Road.
“There have been some delays due the permitting,” franchisee Royce Chow told What Now on Friday. “But hopefully we get the permits by next month so we can get started on construction.”
Chow says that, in addition to the location named in the paperwork, another Zaxby’s is planned on Craig Road in North Las Vegas. The address for that location is not yet available, but Chow says both locations are working with a goal of opening in November 2024.
The Zaxby’s menu features a selection of Fingerz & Wings Mealz, including the Sauced Big Zax Snak Meal (So overloaded with flavor, we didn’t have room for the ‘c’. Sauced Chicken Fingerz™, Texas Toast, Ranch Sauce, served with Crinkle Fries, and a small Coca-Cola drink) and Traditional Wings & Things. There are also selections of Sandwich Mealz, including the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, the Zaxby’s Spicy Signature Sandwich, and the Fried Chicken Philly; Big Zalads like the Cobb Zalad; and Shareables like Chicken Bacon Ranch Loaded Fries and Chicken Parm Loaded Fries.
The Blue Diamond Road location is situated among a number of other restaurant concepts west of the intersection with South Decatur Boulevard. These include local favorites like Mountain West Eatery, Saint Honoré Doughnuts & Beignets, and Oming’s Kitchen.
