Lazy Dog Restaurants, “the casual dining restaurant known for its innovative twists on American dishes served with small mountain-town hospitality” is opening a new location in Henderson, says a press notice released on Monday. “We look forward to bringing our concept of delicious food, warm hospitality and small mountain-town vibes to Henderson. Lazy Dog has been received with open arms as we’ve joined new neighborhoods, and we can’t wait to be part of this community,” Chris Simms, founder and CEO of Lazy Dog Restaurants, said in the press release.

The new 12,472-square-foot location will offer seating for 223 guests inside and 112 outside. The restaurant’s interior will feature “lodge-inspired furnishings ledge stone, and artwork reminiscent of the Cowboy State,” along with a comfortable firepit ins outdoor patio.

The Lazy Dog menu is veritably huge, featuring, perhaps most memorably, a selection of TV dinners in varieties like BBQ Meatloaf (meatloaf, red skin mashers, brown gravy, garlic butter corn, peas + carrots, peanut butter cup brownie), Chicken Parmesan, Fried Chicken Dinner, and more. The menu’s eight burgers include flavor profiles like Black + Blue (grilled half-pound beef patty, blue cheese, smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickle, red onion, blue cheese dressing) and the PB & J Burger (grilled 1/2 lb beef patty, candied bacon, havarti, peanut butter, grape jelly, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle).

What Now reached out to Simms on Monday to inquire further about the rollout for the upcoming Henderson location. Simms was not immediately available for comment.
