“Bourbon Steak is Chef Mina’s love letter to the classic American steakhouse,” reads the full description on Michael Mina’s website. “Timeless steakhouse dishes are elevated by Chef Mina’s refined technique and infused with his arsenal of world flavors and creative flair. The restaurant accomplishes all the traditions expected from a steakhouse, offering the finest cuts of premium beef and seafood complimented by a cutting-edge wine and spirits program, and using local farmers and purveyors to highlight the region’s finest ingredients.”

Mina is also opening Orla, a new Mediterranean restaurant at Mandalay Bay that will “draw on Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, North African, Western Asian, and European cooking traditions, with a nod to the chef’s Egyptian heritage.”

“We have Bourbon Steaks in other premier cities and this will be the first one for us in Vegas, and the first Bourbon Steak supper club,” Mina told the Review-Journal. “I’ve always loved that space for its accessibility, coming off the Strip and pulling up to the Four Seasons, how it’s private, and it’s a restaurant that attracts locals. We’re creating a menu that moves Bourbon Steak forward and it’ll have great live music, a really good atmosphere with a lot of layers, indoor and outdoor, and beautiful tableside presentations so we can do some fun, theatrical stuff.”

What Now reached to Mina Group Chief Operating Officer Mark Politzer on Friday to ask about plans for the Bourbon Steak opening. Politzer was not immediately available for comment.
