The Roberto’s franchise has a long, rich history that dates back to 1964 when Roberto and Dolores Robledo opened San Diego’s first walk up and drive-thru taco shop. With its dedication to “fresh, authentic and inexpensive Mexican food,” the family run business has flourished into 70 Roberto’s taco shops across California and Nevada since its conception 57 years ago.

The menu covers all of your favorite Mexican dishes from cheese enchiladas and chile rellenos to camarones al mojo de ajo. It’s easy to understand why Roberto’s Taco Shop has such a devoted fanbase. On an episode of Food Network’s “The Best Thing I Ever Ate, aka Guilty Pleasures,” Guy Fieri confesses that every time he flies into Las Vegas, he has to stop at Robert’s Taco Shop for a carne asada burrito before checking into the hotel.

The new Roberto’s Taco Shop at 3455 Arville Street will have a drive thru that will allow visitors to swoop in quickly before check-in. Roberto’s will bookend the Macy’s Center on Spring Mountain with David Lee’s Sea Salt Sushi & Oyster on the other end.

An opening day has not yet been officially announced, so be sure to check back here for updates on when Roberto’s Taco Shop will be serving up their renowned carne asada burritos in Chinatown.
