Recently filed permits show the Thai restaurant is opening at 7337 S. Rainbow Blvd and plans to add equipment to the new spot.

“We’re hoping to open in August,” said Sasi Phothidokmai, who helps run Weera Thai along with her husband and Owner Prachatouch Thongusthaisiri.

Weera Thai recently opened into a nearly 3,000 square-foot space at The Commons at Warm Springs Retail Center, at 6955 W. Warm Springs Rd.

Phothidokmai said they are already looking at expansion for location number five in the Vegas area with their sights set on Henderson.

“We want to spread out locations,” she said. “We’ve been open for over 10 years and have all kinds of Thai food. We’d like to expand to Henderson in the coming year.”

Weera Thai offers Thai street food and its recipes come from far and wide. It arrived in Las Vegas in 2010, bringing authentic and flavors from Thailand to the desert. It has won numerous awards over the years as the best Thai, Chinese, and takeout food in town.
