Crafters of Northwest Las Vegas can look forward to gaining a new creative space this Spring, with the arrival of Pinspiration Craft Studio. An avid crafter and Pinterest-user, franchisee Kris Cesena plans to offer a series of self-led projects, as well as workshop activities, in her new craft studio at 7210 W Lake Mead Blvd. In addition to providing DIY activities, Pinspiration will also sell beer, wine and charcuterie-type snacks.
“We don’t want anyone to have to leave early because they’re hungry,” Cesena told What Now Las Vegas. “Drinks also help get the creative juices flowing, so I’m sure our visitors will appreciate having that as an option.”
Cesena also shared that the interactive crafting space will include a Splatter Room in which amateur artists of all ages are invited to embrace their inner Jackson Pollock.
A ticket into the Splatter Room includes goggles, shower caps and coveralls to protect artists from the inevitable mess. Other activities will include self-guided canvas painting and group workshops.
“You won’t have to wait around for an artist to lead you step-by-step,” Cesena said. “People can craft on their own time and follow our instructions if they’d like. There will be workshops, like a handmade chunky blanket project, for example.”
Pinspiration was founded by Brooke Roe in Phoenix, Arizona in 2015. On the company website, Roe describes that the business was born out of creative necessity; after pinning hundreds of craft projects, she found that she only completed a small handful. Realizing that the lack of crafting was due to a lack of space and access to materials, she opened up Pinspiration, and invited others to participate in a mutual crafting community.
The company began to franchise in 2018, and has since expanded to over 50 craft studios, just two of which will be based in Nevada. A grand opening date for the Las Vegas location has not been announced, though Cesena hopes to open the Pinspiration doors by the end of February.
