What Now Las Vegas first reported on the arrival of seafood boil chain Crab N’ Spice’s arrival in Las Vegas last June. The news was that five locations are expected to open in the area in the near future. Thus far, two have opened: the first in Summerlin, at 7501 W Lake Mead Blvd, and the second at 4258 Spring Mountain Rd.

The W Lake Mead location is now looking to enhance its service by adding adult beverages. In paperwork recently filed with the Las Vegas Planning Commission, the restaurant cited requests by guests for the restaurant to start offering beer and other adult beverages (as well as guests who have declined to eat there upon finding out these weren’t offered) as reasons for the change. Several different franchisees are behind the Las Vegas Crab N’ Spice locations. It is unknown whether other locations will follow suit.

Crab N’ Spice offers a prodigious selection of seafoods including king crab legs, dungeness crab, shrimp, mussels, clams, crawfish, lobster tail, and snow crab legs, all served by the pound. Guests can choose a flavor and a level of spice (ranging from original to “Assassin8”) for their seafood boil, and can also choose from a selection of fried options like calamari, fried tilapia, fried cod, and cajun fries.

What Now Las Vegas was unable to reach franchise owner Mcmillian Latayan on Monday for comment on the news. Stay tuned for more updates as this exciting chain continues its expansion in the Las Vegas Valley.
